Parque de los Deportes in Los Pacos will host a community event aimed at the local Nordic community on Saturday 11 April.
The initiative, which begins a midday, will combine culture, music and gastronomy in a “festive and welcoming atmosphere”. The programme will include performances by local and Scandinavian musical groups, as well as paella and drinks available for attendees.
“This is a celebration inspired by Nordic culture but designed for everyone in Fuengirola to enjoy. Our aim is to encourage social interaction and cultural exchange between local residents and those from Nordic countries such as Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Finland,” said tourism councillor José Luis Ponce.
The councillor pointed out that nearly 10,000 Nordic residents live in Fuengirola, and this event is “a chance to learn more about their traditions and strengthen community ties, particularly in neighbourhoods such as Los Pacos Norte, where this community has a strong presence”.
