We're diving into the top wide receivers by PFF receiving grade through Week 17 of the 2025 NFL season. To qualify, players need to have logged at least 100 receiving snaps.

1. Puka Nacua, Los Angeles Rams (95.9)

Nacua was held to five catches for 47 yards in the Rams’ loss to the Falcons, ending a streak of three consecutive games with 150-plus receiving yards. He also had two explosive plays wiped out by penalties: a 36-yard jump ball over CJ Henderson midway through the second quarter, and a 41-yard end-zone strike over Henderson and Jessie Bates III. Nacua cashed in a few plays later with an 11-yard touchdown off a screen play to bring the Rams within one point. He finished the night with three catches of 10-plus yards.

The two-time Pro Bowler outpaced every receiver in December in catches (33), yards (620) and touchdowns (five), leading to a 96.2 PFF receiving grade.

Nacua has now caught 119 of 150 targets for 1,639 yards. He ranks second in receiving yards and catch rate (79.3%) among receivers with at least 50 targets. He continues to pace the league in yards after the catch (648), yards after contact (374) and missed tackles forced (23), while tying Jaxon Smith-Njigba for the most catches of 20-plus yards (27). He is also tied for fifth in touchdown catches this season (nine).

The third-year receiver also remains the contested-catch king, leading the NFL in catches (26), receiving yards (420), first downs (22) and explosive gains (12) on such plays. He ranks second in contested targets (37) and PFF receiving grade (97.4) in contested situations.

2. Jaxon Smith-Njigba, Seattle Seahawks (93.0)

Smith-Njigba brought in nine of 11 targets for 72 yards against the Panthers, with three catches of 10-plus yards. His longest gain came midway through the fourth quarter when he worked across the field for an 18-yard catch with Jaycee Horn in coverage to move the Panthers inside the red zone. He finished the day with a 69.8 PFF receiving grade.

The 23-year-old continues to lead the league in receiving yards (1,709) and explosive plays (41) entering the final week of the regular season. He has also been named to his second consecutive Pro Bowl. No receivers have averaged more yards per route run this season than Puka Nacua (3.81) and Jaxon Smith-Njigba (3.66).

His 18-yard catch against the Panthers came along the sideline, where he ranks fourth in receiving yards (233). He also leads the league in PFF receiving grade from that area of the field (94.9), having recorded eight first downs, seven plays of 15-plus yards and two touchdowns off 12 sideline catches.

3. Amon-Ra St. Brown, Detroit Lions (90.0)

St. Brown brought in eight passes for 68 yards and five first downs in the Lions' Christmas Day loss to the Vikings. He made four catches of 10-plus yards, including an explosive gain on a third-and-15 play in the second quarter when he was left open during a scramble drill. He finished the game with a 73.8 PFF receiving grade.

St. Brown now has 17 explosive gains of 20-plus yards this season and ranks in the top five in catches (106), receiving yards (1,262), touchdowns (11) and first downs gained (63).

The fifth-year pro also continues to shine at every level of the field, placing in the top 10 in PFF receiving grade in the short (94.5) and intermediate (98.9) areas of the field. On short throws, St. Brown has 64 catches for 579 yards (second most), four touchdowns and nine explosive gains (tied for second most).

Meanwhile, he has caught 23 of 38 targets between 10 and 19 yards out for 484 yards (sixth most). He also boasts a 94.8 PFF receiving grade beyond 20 yards downfield.

4. Drake London, Atlanta Falcons (89.9)

London was quiet in the Falcons' win over the Rams, securing one catch for four yards — although it did pick up a first down on a third-and-short play early in the second quarter.

London is up to 841 receiving yards, 42 first downs and 64 catches. The former eighth overall pick has struggled in his first two games back from injury (56.9 PFF receiving grade), as he has just four catches for 31 yards in that span.

However, he remains an elite threat outside the numbers (90.0 PFF receiving grade, tied for eighth best), where he has made 27 catches for 339 yards. His grab against the Rams marked his 19th first down from that area of the field this season. London has also secured seven contested catches and recorded seven explosive gains outside the numbers. Four of his six touchdowns this season have come on those plays.

5. Christian Watson, Green Bay Packers (88.5)

Watson notched his first 100-yard game of the season in the Packers' defeat to the Ravens. He caught five of six targets for 113 yards, all first downs, with the highlight being a 39-yard touchdown catch over Kyle Hamilton and Malaki Starks in the first quarter. That wasn’t his only explosive play; he also recorded catches of 31 and 23 yards in the third quarter, generating a perfect passer rating for the night.

Watson averaged 5.95 yards per route run for the game and finished the week as PFF’s second-highest-graded receiver (89.0).

While Romeo Doubs leads the Packers in catches (55) and receiving yards (724), Watson has taken over as the No. 1 option in the second half of the season, leading the team with 35 catches for 611 yards and six touchdowns since his return to the field in Week 8. He also leads the team in target volume (55) and adjusted target rate (27.4%) while serving as the lone Green Bay receiver with double-digit plays of 20-plus yards (12).

Watson's target share is nearly equal at every level of the field, but his deep-field ability has opened up the Packers' offense. He has caught nine of 18 targets for 294 yards on throws beyond 20 yards. Four of his six scores this season have come from deep, resulting in a perfect PFF receiving grade (99.9). He also ranks second in deep target rate (32.7%).

6. Ja'Marr Chase, Cincinnati Bengals (88.5)

The Cardinals may have kept Chase to 60 receiving yards, but they still surrendered three catches of 10-plus yards and two touchdowns to the elite playmaker. Chase slipped by rookie cornerback Will Johnson for a 22-yard gain on third-and-10 early in the first quarter for his longest catch of the day. He capped off the drive with a 13-yard touchdown off a screen play, breaking one tackle and slipping another for the score.

His second touchdown came late in the second quarter, this time beating Darren Hall on a slant route for an easy eight-yard catch. Chase finished the game with seven catches on nine targets for four first downs while averaging 6.1 yards after the catch per reception. He earned a 76.4 PFF receiving grade for the day.

Chase is up to seven touchdowns this season, helping him become the first receiver in NFL history to record 80-plus catches, 1,000-plus receiving yards and seven-plus touchdowns in his first five seasons. The 25-year-old now has 117 catches for 1,316 yards and 66 first downs this season — all top-five marks.

Chase also continues to dominate post-catch, ranking second in yards after the catch (600) and missed tackles forced (22) and third in yards gained after initial contact (283).

He earned the 12th-highest PFF receiving grade for December on the back of 31 catches for 345 yards, two touchdowns and 18 first downs.

7. Stefon Diggs, New England Patriots (87.8)

All of Diggs’ work against the Jets came in the first half of the blowout win, as he caught each of his six targets for 101 yards. He brought in his fourth touchdown of the season on a screen late in the second quarter. He also had three catches of 20-plus yards in the half, including a 31-yard contested grab over Qwan'tez Stiggers. Diggs averaged 5.32 yards per route run and 6.5 yards after the catch per reception en route to grading out as the PFF’s top receiver for Week 17 (91.6).

In his 11th season, Diggs has 82 catches for 970 yards and 50 first downs. He is also tied for 10th in plays over 20 yards (16) and ranks fifth in yards per route run (2.42).

Diggs has caught fire at the end of the regular season, securing 15 of 16 targets for 239 yards, 12 first downs and seven plays of 15-plus yards over his past two games. He ranks second in PFF receiving grade over that span (91.6).

8. George Pickens, Dallas Cowboys (87.3)

Each of Pickens’ four catches against the Commanders went for 15-plus yards, and he racked up 78 receiving yards overall in the Christmas Day matchup. He beat Mike Sainristil for a 19-yard gain early in the first quarter to move the Cowboys inside the Commanders' 10-yard line. Later in the period, he recorded another 19-yard catch across the middle with Noah Igbinoghene in coverage. Pickens beat Sainristil again for a third 19-yard catch in the third quarter, and he ended his night with a 21-yard catch late in the fourth with Jonathan Jones trailing in coverage.

The fourth-year star is up to 92 catches for 1,420 yards in a breakout season, with 38 explosive plays (second most).

Three of Pickens' explosive gains against the Commanders came on conversion downs, where he is up to 29 catches for 462 yards (second most). He has moved the chains on all but two of those receptions and has accounted for 12 catches of 15-plus yards, tying for the second most in both areas. Pickens owns a 77.3 PFF receiving grade on conversion downs this season.

Three of those gains also came off short targets, plays on which he has tallied 57 catches for 648 yards and five touchdowns, including 10 gains of 15-plus yards. He ranks in the top five in each category at that level of the field.

9. Nico Collins, Houston Texans (87.0)

Collins caught three passes for 57 yards against the Chargers, with each catch resulting in an explosive play. He gained a step on Cam Hart for a 15-yard gain on third-and-7 early in the second quarter. He also benefited from a coverage bust in the third quarter for a 23-yard gain. His last catch of the day came late in the fourth quarter, a 19-yard gain across the middle with Derwin James Jr. and Tony Jefferson in coverage.

The two-time Pro Bowler has turned 71 catches into 1,117 yards (seventh most) this season, with 33 explosive plays (tied for fifth most). He also graded out as the fifth-best receiver in December (85.7). Collins caught 14 of 25 targets for 322 yards (ninth most) and two touchdowns, with 10 gains of 15-plus yards (tied for fourth most) this past month.

Most of his work against the Chargers came between the numbers, where he has made 43 catches for 649 yards (seventh most) and four touchdowns. Collins ranks in the top 10 in first downs (29) and catches of 15-plus yards (19) between the numbers this season.

10. Terry McLaurin, Washington Commanders (86.5)

McLaurin brought in five of seven targets for 63 yards and four first downs in the Commanders' loss to the Cowboys. He broke a tackle attempt from rookie Shavon Revel for a 16-yard gain near the sideline midway through the first quarter. McLaurin recorded a second 16-yard gain late in the third quarter, working outside the numbers for a third-down conversion. He earned the eighth-best PFF receiving grade for the week (80.1).

The 30-year-old receiver completed his first fully healthy month of the 2025 season, catching 14 of 20 passes for 226 yards and a touchdown in December. All but two of his receptions moved the chains (12), and he graded out as the ninth-best receiver for the month (83.0 PFF receiving grade). McLaurin now has 34 catches this season for 525 yards.

11. A.J. Brown, Philadelphia Eagles (85.9)

Brown caught five passes for 68 yards against the Bills, headlined by a 27-yard contested catch late in the first quarter against Christian Benford. Brown recorded a second explosive play, this time a 19-yard catch over Benford and Cam Lewis. He secured three of five contested targets and finished the game with an 83.3 PFF receiving grade (fifth best among receivers in Week 17).

Brown has made 78 catches for 1,003 yards this year, giving him a 1,000-yard season in each of his seven NFL campaigns. He logged 22 catches for 304 yards and 16 first downs in December. Brown tied for fourth in explosive plays during the month and earned the 10th-best PFF receiving grade in that span (82.1).

12. Jaylen Waddle, Miami Dolphins (85.1)

Waddle suffered a rib injury in the second quarter of Week 17, but he did return to finish the game. He was targeted only once and went without a catch. He did have a rush for seven yards off an end-around late in the first quarter.

Waddle stands at 64 catches for 910 yards this season. He remains one of the best downfield threats in the league, grading out as the fourth-best receiver on throws 10-plus yards from the line of scrimmage (95.9). Most of his work continues to come from that level of the field, as he has 35 downfield catches for 705 yards (ninth most) and four touchdowns.

13. Davante Adams, Los Angeles Rams (84.1)

Adams did not play in Week 17 due to a hamstring injury.

14. DeAndre Hopkins, Baltimore Ravens (83.0)

Hopkins was targeted once in the Ravens' victory over the Packers as Derrick Henry stole the show. He did not catch the pass and stands at 22 receptions for 330 yards entering the final week of the regular season.

15. Tyreek Hill, Miami Dolphins (81.0)

Hill is out for the season due to a knee injury.

16. Parker Washington, Jacksonville Jaguars (80.6)

Washington recorded his second consecutive 100-yard game this season in the Jaguars' victory over the Colts. He caught eight of 10 passes for 115 yards, with three catches of 20-plus yards in the first three quarters — including a 37-yard gain on a third down in the third quarter. Washington tallied four explosive plays, secured two contested catches and finished the outing with a 76.9 PFF receiving grade.

The former sixth-round pick leads the Jaguars in receiving yards (760) this season across 53 catches. He sports the third-best PFF receiving grade over the past two weeks (88.9), catching 14 of 19 targets for 260 yards (third most), with eight gains of 15-plus yards and a touchdown. Washington has also secured five of six contested targets in that stretch.

Washington has been dangerous at every level of the field, boasting 90.0-plus PFF receiving grades at each depth beyond the line of scrimmage. He’s been at his best between 10 and 19 yards, securing 17 of 24 targets for 262 yards and a 97.4 PFF receiving grade (top-15 mark). Three of his four scores this season have come from the intermediate level of the field.

Meanwhile, Washington also ranks 10th in PFF receiving grade on targets within nine yards of the line of scrimmage, bringing in 26 of 31 passes for 303 yards and 11 first downs. He has turned seven of those targets into explosive plays and has secured five of six contested targets.

17. Demario Douglas, New England Patriots (80.6)

Douglas took a screen pass 10 yards to the Jets' 20-yard line on a first-and-15 play late in the first quarter of Week 17 — his only target of the day.

The 25-year-old receiver now has 29 catches for 418 yards and 16 first downs this season. He ranks sixth on the team in target share (39) but saw just three passes in December as he battled a hamstring injury. Still, defenses should keep an eye on him, as he's the Patriots' receiving leader in touch rate since Week 10 (16.0%) and ranks third in adjusted target rate (19.7%) over that span.

18. Luther Burden III, Chicago Bears (80.4)

Burden keeps churning out big plays, adding another four catches of 20-plus yards against the 49ers. He secured a 35-yard touchdown over Ji'Ayir Brown late in the first quarter, his second score of the season. He took an underneath target 24 yards to San Francisco’s three-yard line early in the third quarter and followed that up with a 27-yard sideline catch on third-and-8 late in the period. Finally, Burden took another underneath target for 25 yards early in the fourth quarter.

Burden caught eight of nine targets for 138 yards in the game — all season highs — on his way to an 82.6 PFF receiving grade (third best for the week).

Rookie tight end Colston Loveland and Burden have opened up the Bears' passing game in the final stretch of the season. In December, the pair has combined for 35 catches for 505 yards, 25 first downs, three touchdowns and nine plays of 20-plus yards.

The second-round pick from Missouri has 44 catches for 617 yards this season. He ranks third among all receivers in yards per route run (2.67), passer rating when targeted (124.5) and yards after the catch per reception (7.1). He ranks eighth in PFF receiving grade for December (83.1).

19. Zay Flowers, Baltimore Ravens (80.1)

Flowers joined DeAndre Hopkins in having a quiet night against the Packers, tallying four catches for 30 yards, but he did bring in a 10-yard touchdown on a third down early in the fourth quarter to extend the Ravens' lead. He gained three first downs on the night.

The third-year receiver is up to 82 catches for 1,073 yards (tied for eighth most). He performed well in December, catching 22 of 28 passes for 306 yards and two touchdowns. He moved the chains 14 times, recorded seven catches of 15-plus yards and earned an 11th-ranked 81.4 PFF receiving grade for the month.

20. Alec Pierce, Indianapolis Colts (80.1)

The Jaguars' defense suffocated Pierce, not allowing him to catch a single pass across six targets. It was the first time this season that he’s been held without a catch.

The fourth-year receiver leads the Colts in receiving yards entering the final week of the regular season (871) on 43 catches.

Despite the shutout, Pierce remains one of the best deep threats in the league. He leads the NFL in average depth of target (19.9 yards) and deep target rate (32.9%), having caught 10 passes beyond 20 yards downfield for 332 yards (11th most) and four touchdowns. All of those scores have come since Week 10, and they account for all of his touchdowns in 2025. Pierce holds an elite 96.8 deep PFF receiving grade.

21. Chris Olave, New Orleans Saints (79.7)

Olave has continued his strong play down the stretch, notching eight catches for 119 yards against the Tennessee Titans. He had three explosive plays, including a 19-yard end-zone catch in the third quarter and a 60-yarder in the fourth. Olave averaged 3.97 yards per route run and 6.8 yards after the catch, and he finished the week with the third-highest PFF receiving grade (88.5).

The fourth-year receiver has been hot during the Saints' four-game win streak, ranking in the top five in catches (27), receiving yards (382) and touchdowns (four) in December. He gained 19 first downs, recorded 11 explosive plays (third most) and produced the fourth-best PFF receiving grade for the month (86.0).

During that span, he was unstoppable outside the numbers, with 12 catches for 187 yards and two touchdowns. Nine of those plays moved the chains, and he has five catches of 15-plus yards, leading to an 89.5 PFF receiving grade in that area of the field (seventh most).

Olave ranks sixth in receiving yards (1,163) entering the final week of the season.

22. CeeDee Lamb, Dallas Cowboys (79.0)

Lamb was quiet on Christmas Day, securing five catches for 46 yards against the Commanders, although he still recorded two gains of 10-plus yards. His longest catch came off a coverage bust in the third quarter when he found himself open downfield on third-and-8 for a 24-yard gain. Despite the big play, Lamb posted just a 58.5 PFF receiving grade.

The 2020 first-round pick remains ranked in the top 10 in receiving yards (1,073) in his sixth season. He has also recorded 16 plays of 20-plus yards (tied for 10th most) across 74 catches. Lamb earned a 76.4 PFF receiving grade in December.

Like teammate George Pickens, Lamb has been hard to slow down on third and fourth downs this season, as he now has 21 catches on conversion downs for 312 yards with 18 first downs and a touchdown, resulting in a 77.4 PFF receiving grade on those plays.

23. Tee Higgins, Cincinnati Bengals (79.0)

Higgins caught four passes for 59 yards in the Bengals' win over the Cardinals, with a bulk of his yards coming off a third-quarter catch. He was able to get behind Darren Hall on the third-down play and hold on downfield as Denzel Burke closed in for the hit, resulting in a 39-yard gain. That was one of his two first downs in the game.

The 2020 second-round pick earned a 13th-ranked PFF receiving grade in December (80.9), despite missing Week 15 with a concussion. He caught 13 of 19 targets in that span for 204 yards and three touchdowns. Nine of his catches moved the chains, and he also secured four contested catches and recorded five gains of 15-plus yards.

Higgins also remains one of the best on conversion downs, where he has brought in 17 passes for 267 yards, 15 first downs, eight explosive plays and two scores. He owns a 79.3 PFF receiving grade on conversion downs this season (15th best).

Overall, Higgins enters Week 18 with 53 catches for 779 yards and 10 touchdowns (tied for third most). He is up to 13 catches of 20-plus yards on the season.

24. Ryan Flournoy, Dallas Cowboys (78.5)

Flournoy did not play in Week 17 due to a knee sprain.

25. Keenan Allen, Los Angeles Chargers (77.9)

Allen notched only one catch against the Texans, a slot target across the middle of the field for a 17-yard gain on a third-down play in the third quarter.

He now has 74 catches for 741 yards and 47 first downs in his 13th season. He has converted 32 catches on third- and fourth-down plays into 28 first downs (most) while ranking in the top 10 in receiving yards (362) and PFF receiving grade (85.3) on those plays.

Meanwhile, the veteran receiver has also caught 37 of 42 slot targets this season for 352 yards and 23 first downs (tied for fourth most), resulting in an 82.0 slot PFF receiving grade.

26. Justin Jefferson, Minnesota Vikings (77.8)

Jefferson broke outside for a 10-yard catch with less than three minutes remaining in the Vikings' win over the Lions to convert on third-and-5. That was his longest catch of the day, as he brought in four of five targets against the Lions for 30 yards.

The 26-year-old receiver is still inching toward his sixth straight 1,000-yard season, as he stands at 76 catches for 947 yards with one game to go, but he’s been held to fewer than 50 receiving yards in five of his past six games.

Jefferson has been at his best against zone coverage, where he is tied for the 11th-best PFF receiving grade (84.5) while ranking 11th in receiving yards (699). He has gained 29 first downs across 56 zone catches (seventh) and has forced 10 missed tackles (tied for fifth most) and averaged 6.2 yards after the catch per reception on those plays.

27. Courtland Sutton, Denver Broncos (77.6)

The Chiefs may have been battered entering their Christmas Day matchup against the Broncos, but they were still able to hold Sutton to four catches for 40 yards across 10 targets. He gained three first downs on the night, including a 23-yard catch on first-and-20 midway through the third quarter.

The 30-year-old receiver is up to 73 catches for 1,012 yards this season, with 17 catches of 20-plus yards (tied for seventh most).

Sutton earned a 77.8 PFF receiving grade in December, catching 23 passes for 301 yards, 17 first downs and two touchdowns. He racked up seven plays of 15-plus yards in that span and was targeted 10-plus times in every game of that stretch.

Sutton has been at his best in one-on-one situations this season, bringing in 15 of 23 such targets for 256 yards and 13 first downs. He has secured four of eight contested targets and owns the eighth-best PFF receiving grade (90.1, tied) against single-coverage looks.

Meanwhile, Sutton ranks in the top 10 in touchdowns (five) and first downs (33) against zone looks, with 49 catches for 655 yards. He sports a 71.6 PFF receiving grade against zone coverage this season.

28. Tetairoa McMillan, Carolina Panthers (77.4)

McMillan's 46.2 PFF overall grade against the Seahawks in Week 17 was a far cry from his 85.3 mark in Week 16. He was targeted four times but brought in only one pass for five yards late in the fourth quarter on fourth-and-17. McMillan garnered the third-worst PFF receiving grade this week (47.5).

The 22-year-old is still creeping toward a 1,000-yard season in his first NFL season. McMillan now has 66 catches for 929 yards, ranking second among rookies in receiving yards. McMillan is a top-15 receiver in targets (114) and a top-10 receiver in touchdowns (seven), first downs (51) and explosive plays (28).

McMillan has been excellent downfield this season, garnering a 93.0 PFF receiving grade on passes targeted 10 or more yards. But he’s been equally great within nine yards of the line of scrimmage, logging a matching 93.0 PFF receiving grade. McMillan has turned 47 short targets into 33 catches for 272 yards, 20 first downs and two touchdowns while averaging 5.79 yards per route run on those plays.

29. Rashee Rice, Kansas City Chiefs (77.2)

Rice’s season is officially over after the Chiefs placed him on injured reserve due to a concussion.

30. DeVonta Smith, Philadelphia Eagles (76.7)

Smith had a two-catch, 25-yard day against the Bills, with both plays resulting in gains of 10-plus yards. On the first, he slipped behind Cole Bishop for an 11-yard third-down conversion early in the second quarter. On the second, he forced a missed tackle for a 14-yard gain near halftime to move the Eagles inside the Bills' 15-yard line.

The 27-year-old receiver has logged 74 catches for 956 yards as we approach Week 18. He caught 14 of 22 passes in December, but for only 154 yards. He has been held to fewer than 50 receiving yards in five of his past seven games. Smith moved the chains eight times and caught a touchdown pass over the past month en route to a 63.9 PFF receiving grade.

Despite the challenges, Smith remains one of the best slot threats in the league, having caught 44 such passes for 362 yards and 20 first downs. He has secured eight of 11 contested targets while recording eight gains of 15-plus yards. Smith ranks in the top 10 in slot catches and first downs, leading to a 77.0 slot PFF receiving grade.

Meanwhile, Smith ranks fifth in PFF receiving grade from outside alignments (87.9), with 30 catches for 594 yards and 22 first downs. Three of his four touchdowns this season have come from wide alignments, and he also has 14 gains of 15-plus yards on those plays.

31. Josh Downs, Indianapolis Colts (76.4)

Downs recorded multiple explosive gains for the first time this season in Week 17 — his only two catches in the game across five targets. He was able to split zone coverage for a 16-yard gain late in the second quarter, and he did so again for an 18-yard sideline catch on a third-down play in the third quarter.

The 24-year-old is up to 54 catches for 505 yards, 34 first downs and four touchdown catches. While Downs does not record huge chunks of yardage per game (only two career 100-yard games), he does have three catches of 15-plus yards in his past two games to give him eight explosive plays on the season.

32. Jameson Williams, Detroit Lions (75.5)

Williams made just two catches for 37 yards against the Vikings, but both plays resulted in 15-plus-yard gains.

Despite the quiet day, the former 12th overall pick remains ranked 10th in receiving yards (1,043) on 59 catches.

Williams also remains an elite downfield threat, and he ranks in the top five in explosive plays (34) and gains of 20-plus yards (22).
