Ryanair is to set up its aircraft engine maintenance and repair centre in Seville, a project involving an investment of 290 million euros.
Once operational, the centre is expected to create 600 direct jobs, while construction will generate an additional 400 jobs.
The facilities will be located in vacant land in the city's port and include areas for reception, disassembly, inspection, repair, reassembly and testing, as well as engine test cells to verify proper functioning after maintenance operations.
The regional government is fast-tracking the necessary planning approvals.
