In a game that might end up having more meaning for the Carolina Panthers than for the two teams involved, the Atlanta Falcons upset the Los Angeles Rams with a 27-24 win on Monday Night Football.
Game Summary
According to the PFF noise-canceled score metric, the Falcons were indeed the slightly better team in a game that featured multiple defensive and special-teams scores.
Passing Summary
The Falcons' passing game didn't do anything special, but the unit didn't commit any crucial mistakes, whereas the Rams threw three interceptions.
Receiving Summary
With the defense and run game dominating, the Falcons didn’t have to do much in the passing game. Consequently, nobody stands out here. It’s not surprising that running back Bijan Robinson saw the most targets among Falcons players.
As so often is the case, Puka Nacua was the Rams' most-used receiver. But Xavier Smith is worth pointing out here, as he was targeted six times for 108 potential air yards and finished with a game-high 67 receiving yards.
Rushing Summary
Bijan Robinson was having a special night against stacked boxes. His high efficiency numbers might be skewed by one long run, but his success rate was good, as well.
